OGS joins hands with CanSupport for cancer patients

Optum Global Solutions joined hands with CanSupport for providing home-based palliative care for cancer patients.

CanSupport’s home based palliative care program offers meaningful support to patients and families, ensuring good pain and symptom control, comfort, sensitive communication, clear information and a coherent package of care. These measures help people live meaningfully until the end of life and support their families afterwards.

The program aims to help under-served cancer patients and their family caregivers residing in Faridabad (Haryana), Amritsar (Punjab) and Delhi. It will provide comprehensive palliative care provision through 6 multidisciplinary teams comprising doctors, nurses and counselors, taking care of almost 450-500 cancer patients, and 1,500 family caregivers through 2,000 home visits and 24x7 availability on a phone helpline.
